Meeting Jason Paige: Twice Special

Have you ever experienced the incredible joy of meeting someone you deeply admire not just once, but twice? And what if both encounters were so incredibly special that the second time felt as magical as the first – as if you were meeting that person for the very first time all over again? This is the story of my encounters with the extraordinary Jason Paige, whose music, jingles and video clips have resonated with me on a profound level, and whose performances I had only witnessed through online videos. I am also referring to jingles he wrote, co-wrote and sang. Jason Paige also produced, not just wrote and sang! Remember Lego Mania TV commercials? Mostly on Saturday and Sunday mornings, and do not forget about Pokémon!!!

The banner Jason Paige takes with him at his public appearances for signing event, stage performances, meet & greets is a showcase of his achievements throughout his career. Awesome right? Let me count the achievements of Jason Paige in my own words.

The Voice of a Generation:

Jason Paige's journey through the realm of music is nothing short of awe-inspiring. His vocal talents have taken him to heights that most can only dream of. From his year-long tour as the lead singer for the legendary band Blood Sweat & Tears to sharing the stage with the iconic Michael Jackson as the rap soloist for "Black or White" during Michael Jackson's 30th Anniversary concert at Madison Square Garden, his voice has been an integral part of music history.

His vocal contributions can also be heard on albums by renowned artists like Foreigner, Meatloaf, and The Scorpions. He's been the voice behind hits like "Can't Slow Down," "Bat Outta Hell 3," and "Hour 1." He's lent his voice to the melodies that back up the likes of Billy Joel, Roger Daltrey, Kiss, and Smokey Robinson, just to name a few.

A Multifaceted Talent:

But Jason Paige's talent extends far beyond his vocal abilities. His voice has graced some of the most beloved shows and movies of our time. From lending his voice to characters in "Rick And Morty" and "Phineas & Ferb" to joining the cast of "The Jersey Boys" and collaborating with the iconic Kermit and Miss Piggy in "Annie," he has left his mark on an astonishing range of entertainment.

And let's not forget his role in the animated film "Sausage Party," where he lent his voice to a salad of singing food characters. But his versatility doesn't stop there – he's sung and beat-boxed alongside rock legends Aerosmith on tour and contributed to the remix of the hit single "Pink" on the Howard Stern show. He's even taken the stage with Enrique Iglesias, leaving audiences captivated by his performances. I also have a video on my Instagram, Facebook and YouTube where Jason Paige beat-boxed for me, which I call it a special and exclusive beat-box for me. That's awesome!

A Creative Force:

In 2022, Jason Paige embarked on yet another creative endeavor, releasing 11 new original songs in collaboration with Dutch EDM DJ AIN0. This showcases his ability to evolve with the times and continue producing fresh and innovative music.

Jason Paige's vocal talents extend to advertising as well, where he has lent his voice to numerous jingles. From Coca-Cola's iconic "Catch the Feeling" to Mountain Dew's memorable "Bohemian Rhapsody," his voice has become synonymous with some of the most recognizable advertisements. And of course, who could forget the original theme to the phenomenon that is "Pokémon"? The theme song, a Billboard #1 single, became a sensation on Guitar Hero and held the distinction of being the #1 most viewed and imitated video on YouTube at the time.

A Global Presence:

Jason Paige's impact reaches far beyond the stage and the recording booth. As the featured soloist in Tommy Tallarico's renowned Video Games Live, he has taken his talents across the world. He's graced the stage with luminaries like Oleta Adams, Liza Minelli, Ashanti, and Billy Porter. His vocal harmonies have adorned the performances of Ray Charles, Luther Vandross, Mark Anthony, Ricky Martin, Usher, Chaka Khan, and Patti LaBelle.

A Timeless Connection:

The first time I met Jason Paige, I not only got to see and hear from him about his achievements, but I also got to see and hear him sing and play his guitar, the song: Last Goodbye. On that day, I got my Mewtwo Funko Pop! signed by him, and also two Jason Paige Gold Cards. We had nice conversations. All in all, meeting Jason Paige was one of the nicest experiences ever. Before that day, I could only see those experiences of others online. But now I got to experience it all myself, someone who I admire and now even more for knowing how kind he also is, the human being with a true heart: a heart so true!

The second time I met Jason Paige was an experience that defied expectations. It was as if fate had conspired to recreate that initial sense of wonder and excitement. The thrill of being in his presence, the honor of interacting with him once more – it was a true testament to his ability to make every fan feel special. I asked him about his banner. Each project he has worked on, whether created, produced, wrote, co-wrote, sung, recorded and filmed — all have a very nice story and you can see his excitement and feel it as well as he recounts his experience. It's what we fans also like to see and hear — the stories from the artists themselves. What makes it even more special is hearing it there right next to you in person.

A Rising Star in Pokémon:

In recent years, Jason Paige has quickly ascended to the forefront of Pokémon fandom. His popularity among Pokémon fans has led to numerous interviews and features on major platforms, including MTV, CNN, TMZ, Nintendo News, SPIN, Cosmopolitan, Billboard, Entertainment Weekly, and CNET. His voice and the enduring popularity of the Pokémon theme song have generated billions of hits on YouTube, and his current presence on social media reaches millions.

A Creative Dynamo:

Beyond his vocal talents, Jason Paige has also made his mark as a writer and producer. His collaborations have yielded remarkable results, including co-writing for The Scorpions with Marti Frederiksen, James Michael, and Eric Bazilian. Their collaboration resulted in the anthemic ballad "The Future Never Dies," spearheading The Scorpions' concept album "Hour 1."

He's produced Billboard's #1 Charting Dance Artist Becky Baeling, worked with Broadway sensation Shoshanna Bean, and co-produced artists like Michael Weaver and Suzie Mcneil. His creative reach extends to writing jingles, contributing to the Fox movie "Club Dread," and supplying songs for MTV's hit show "Rob N Big."

A Man of Many Talents:

Jason Paige's talents have also found expression in the realm of comedy. He produced "The What's Up Show," his own music and comedy sketch show on Manhattan cable TV, which garnered a cult following in New York City. He's co-written two musicals, "BOX" and "Writing Pictures," both produced at Hartford's Bushnell Theatre for Black History month, based on Harriet Beecher Stowe's "Uncle Tom's Cabin."

In 2021-22, Jason further showcased his creative prowess by producing, writing, singing, and releasing the theme songs for Nostalgix TCG, Devolution NFT, and TCG World Metaverse.

A Living Legend:

Jason Paige's impact as a vocalist, producer, and creative force is undeniable. His ability to touch the hearts of fans, to create moments of magic through his performances, and to inspire through his music is a testament to his enduring legacy. To have met him not once, but twice, is a gift that I hold dear – a testament to the enduring connection between an artist and their admirers.
