As a huge fan of Barbara Eden and I Dream of Jeannie, I also enjoy collecting vintage 1964 Jim Beam bottles like Jeannie's bottle, which holds a special place in my heart. In fact, I even hand-paint replicas of Jeannie's bottle in my spare time. Join me as I showcase my skills and creativity in my portfolio.
As a native of Aruba, I speak Papiamento, the official language of the island, which is commonly spoken in my home country. Additionally, I am fluent in Dutch, which is also an official language of Aruba. I learned English and Spanish at a young age due to my love for the TV show 'I Dream of Jeannie.' My proficiency in these languages allows me to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
As an experienced web and application developer with over 20 years of experience, I specialize in developing both desktop and web applications. Whether I'm working on a web application or a desktop application, I always strive to provide the best user experience by creating responsive and visually appealing interfaces. I use libraries like jQuery and Bootstrap to simplify the development process and extend their functions when necessary. My passion for technology and innovation drives me to continually improve my skills and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques.
I have a variety of interests outside of coding, including technology, social media, and coffee. I'm also an avid collector of crystals, shells, and fossils, and enjoy playing video games in my free time. One of my biggest passions is my love for Barbara Eden and the TV show "I Dream of Jeannie", which has led me to collect vintage Jim Beam bottles like Jeannie's bottle and even hand-paint replicas in my spare time. In addition to my hobbies, I enjoy food photography and capturing the beauty of nature while exploring the outdoors.
I also use social media to share my passion for food photography, posting pictures of coffee, desserts, and natural and city landscapes. In addition to my professional skills and experience, I have a wide range of hobbies and interests that I am passionate about. I am an avid follower of technology and enjoy staying up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements. When I'm not working or exploring the latest in tech, you can often find me on social media, sharing my interests with others. I love using social media platforms to showcase my food photography, nature scenery, and collection of vintage Jim Beam bottles like Jeannie's bottle from I Dream of Jeannie. Additionally, I am a coffee enthusiast and enjoy trying new blends and brewing methods, often capturing the beauty of coffee through my photography.
I also have a passion for collecting unique items, including crystals, shells, and fossils, as well as vintage Jeannie bottles. In fact, I even hand-paint replicas of Jeannie's bottle in my spare time. When I'm not collecting or painting, I enjoy playing video games, especially those featuring my favorite characters such as Pokémon, Mario, and other Nintendo classics.
As a keen photographer, I have an eye for capturing the beauty of the world around me. I love experimenting with different techniques and styles to create unique and captivating images, whether it's landscapes, cityscapes, or food photography. Finally, I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring new trails, collecting shells and fossils, and taking in the natural beauty of the world. It's a great way to relax and recharge after a busy day.
Jeannie Bottle Collector & Barbara Eden Fan
One other very special hobby is collecting television show memorabilia "Jeannie Bottle". The Jeannie Bottle is a 1964 Jim Beam decanter used in the 1965 tv sitcom "I Dream of Jeannie". The fan base is very big and together with other fellow fans I discuss about findings, about the bottles, where I try to find and locate the actual prop bottles. On my I Dream of Jeannie dedicated (unofficial) fan Facebook page I post news related to my beloved actress, loved by many, "Barbara Eden" and also the beloved bottles that appeared in the show and movies.
Being a dedicated fan of Barbara Eden and I Dream of Jeannie has allowed me to connect with fellow fans who share their love for the show and its iconic actress. I am grateful to receive photos from fans showcasing their Barbara Eden photo collection, including autographed photos, as well as their treasured I Dream of Jeannie Bottle collection and other memorabilia, some of which are also autographed. Moreover, Jeannie Bottle artists generously share photos of the unique and intricate Jeannie Bottles they have painted for their clients, which further adds to the beauty and charm of this beloved show's legacy.
I am happy for have finally been able to meet ms. Barbara Eden. A wish that I have been waiting for since I was 2 years old. My wish came true after 36 years, on December 3rd, 2022 where I got the very special moment of have nice conversations with her when we met. There was an Autograph & Selfie Session where I had my "Jeannie Bottle" autographed by her. Then we had some selfies taken where later an official photoshoot session as well. The bottle is handpainted by myself in 2016 to resemble one of the bottles used in the black-and-white First Season from 1965 to 1966. This bottle's design is best known as the Golden Vines Jeannie Bottle.
On December 4th, 2022 was the second day when I got to meet my beloved actress again. I had a book by her autographed for me and then we had a selfie again. We also had the chance to have nice conversations where I could express how much I admire her.
After the session there was also a special panel where fans could ask her questions and there I also stood in the line to ask some questions. This moment for sure was also a special one for me. After this special panel I had the opportunity to walk with her and her team, protect her and her dear husband mr. Eicholtz who I also went on photos with and had nice conversation with as well. Walking with a celebrity as if I was not just a fan, but also part of her team, briefly, to protect her and take care of her and also of her dear husband. This moment was special.
In total I have seven of these bottles in my personal collection where four are handpainted by myself. These bottles originally are authentic Jim Beam decanters from 1964, just like those used in the tv show and movies.
