Behind the Names
So, this year’s Winter Edition lineup is seriously amazing! Ian Somerhalder stole hearts as Damon Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries and first wowed audiences as Boone Carlyle in Lost, and he’s also a huge environmental hero with his own Ian Somerhalder Foundation. He has received numerous accolades, including the 2012 Environmental Media Association Futures Award, the 2014 People's Choice Award for Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actor, and multiple Teen Choice Awards for his role in The Vampire Diaries.

Nikki Reed, who we all know and love as Rosalie from The Twilight Saga, isn’t just an actress; she’s also a writer, producer, and an inspiring activist for animal welfare and women’s rights. Her performance in Thirteen earned her the 2004 Independent Spirit Award for Best Debut Performance, and she received a nomination for Best First Screenplay alongside Catherine Hardwicke. She has also been recognized with a Satellite Award nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama.

Carl Lumbly is a total legend, from Alias to The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and he is also known for his voice work in animated series, most notably as Martian Manhunter in Justice League and Justice League Unlimited, as well as roles in Superman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Static Shock, and Young Justice: Phantoms.

Samuel Roukin brought history to life in Turn: Washington’s Spies with his unforgettable performance. Neil Newbon is the man behind Astarion in Baldur’s Gate 3, charming and complex, and he has been recognized for his incredible motion capture work.

Jane Perry is a fan favorite in the gaming world, known for her roles as Diana Burnwood in the Hitman series and Selene in Returnal, which earned her the BAFTA Award for Performer in a Leading Role in 2022. She has also appeared in TV series like Ransom and The X-Files and lent her voice to animated shows such as Galaxy Express 999 and Dragon Ball Z, showcasing her versatility across gaming, screen, and animation.

Tim Downie is such a brilliant actor and always brings a fun, warm energy to everything he does. Fans might recognize him as Governor William Tryon in Outlander, and he also played Montgomery Clyde in Paddington, adding charm to the story. He’s popped up in shows like Les Misérables, Toast of London, Upstart Crow, and even Good Omens Season 2, showing he can handle both comedy and drama effortlessly. On top of that, he’s done voice work for games like Baldur’s Gate 3, proving he’s just as talented behind the mic as he is on screen.

Rich Keeble is a familiar face from Ghosts UK and Alan Wake 2, and fans will also know him as the voice of Monoco in Expedition 33. He’s done some awesome voice work too, including roles in The Lord of the Rings: Gollum and Strange Brigade, and he’s narrated audiobooks like The Guest List and We Must Not Think of Ourselves, showing he’s super versatile across TV, games, and audio.

Maxence Cazorla brought fantasy to life in The Witcher and keeps impressing fans in Expedition 33, where he voices Esquie and also did motion capture for characters like Gustave, Verso, and Renoir. Fans will have the chance to meet him in person at the convention for autographs, selfies, and photo ops, and he often shares behind-the-scenes glimpses of his work on Twitch and Instagram.

Shala Nyx is amazing in everything she does. Fans know her as Sciel in Baldur’s Gate 3, and she brings that same depth and emotion to Expedition 33. She’s also voiced characters in games like Harmony: The Fall of Reverie, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, and Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, and has worked on animated series like Octonauts and Corpse Talk. Trained at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, she’s super active on Instagram and Twitch, sharing behind-the-scenes looks at her work and giving fans a peek into her creative process.

This group of guests has done it all in acting, voice work, activism, and more, and we can’t wait to meet them, hear their stories, and celebrate their amazing journeys at Heroes Dutch Comic Con.
