Pokémon GO Road Trip 2025 is Rolling Into Europe – And It’s Bigger Than Ever!

Get your Poké Balls ready, because Pokémon GO Road Trip 2025 is set to roll through Europe this summer, bringing Trainers together in a celebration of adventure, community, and of course — catching Pokémon.

Niantic has officially revealed the full roadmap for this year’s Pokémon GO Road Trip, and the journey promises unforgettable experiences across seven major cities. Whether you’re chasing region-exclusive Pokémon, grinding XP, or just exploring with friends, there’s something for every kind of Trainer.

The Tour at a Glance
From the UK to Germany, France to the Netherlands, the Pokémon GO Road Trip 2025 kicks off on Wednesday, July 16th in Manchester and wraps up during Gamescom in Cologne on Sunday, August 24th. Each stop will feature a special in-game activation, citywide bonuses, and real-world activities that bring the Pokémon GO universe to life.

Why This Event Matters
Unlike Pokémon GO Fest, which is concentrated in a single location, the Road Trip brings the excitement to multiple cities across Europe. The Hague, where I’m from, is especially exciting — it’s amazing to see our city become part of such a major international event.

At each location, Trainers will unlock:

🔹️ Increased Lure Module duration and effectiveness
🔹️ Special trade bonuses and bonus encounters
🔹️ Unique Poké Ball tappables scattered throughout the cities, offering surprise Pokémon when tapped
🔹️ AR photo moments, GO Battle areas, and live community events linked to real-world locations

Even if you can’t make it to the Poké Truck itself, you’ll still be able to enjoy the bonuses and special encounters simply by being in the area.

How to Join the Fun
No special ticket is required — just show up, log in, and explore. Whether you're a solo player or part of a local Pokémon GO community, the Road Trip is a great opportunity to meet fellow Trainers, take part in raids together, and share the excitement of live events.

The Pokémon GO Road Trip 2025 is shaping up to be one of the most interactive, widespread events Niantic has ever hosted in Europe. The song is called “Catch the World with a Throw: A Tribute to Pokémon GO”, and it’s an electrifying anthem that perfectly captures the thrill of hunting Pokémon in the real world. I actually use it as the background music in some of my Pokémon GO reels — it fits so well! Jason performs this song live at fan conventions like Collect-A-Con, Heroes Dutch Comic Con, and even at exclusive signing events right here in the Netherlands.
